Iris is a company developing innovative tools that empower creators and elevate creative engagement.

One of our flagship products, Iris Twin, is a lifelike digital version of the creator - designed to fully immerse the community in the creator’s world. This is an AI agent that mirrors the creator’s conversational style, humor, and personality so precisely that fans feel as though they’re speaking directly with them.

As a Senior Product Designer in the App team, I led all design initiatives, owned the process, and collaborated closely with user researcher, data analyst, product managers, developers, UX writers etc.

The Problem

The core interaction model of the app was built around the concept of “energy”: the more you converse with your Iris Twin, the more energy you consume - similar to a mobile phone battery. Once energy runs out, users are prompted to pay to continue.

However, the existing payment flow achieved only a 20% conversion rate from the total user base and experienced significant drop-offs. The flow lacked engaging touchpoints to motivate users to convert.

Additionally, there was no solid framework to support future monetization features such as paid content, an AI image generator, and other premium tools. This limited our ability to scale the product’s value and revenue potential.

Business Goals

Improve Monetisation & Boost Reveneu

Unify and enhance the current “recharging” experience, making it smoother and easier to interact with the agent without uncomfortable interruptions.

Increase
Engagement

Encourage more users to choose Iris Twin as their primary AI assistant by increasing average session duration and monthly active sessions per user
